BERLIN MARATHON: Countdown week 7

WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS

No doubt my highlight were my night runs at the 24h race.

No training runs!

Yes, I really didn’t run during the week as I felt tired from the Dublin Half Marathon. I was a bit disappointed with myself as the training suggests to run 3x a week, but after a long run like 21km / 13miles the recovery is much longer. My inner voices told me to rest and be strong for 24h running, camping like a festival style weekend.

Food prep before the race.

German Pork Schnitzel and stuffed tomatoes, peppers Greek style.

I arrived on Saturday before the race started. Guess who am I on the pic above?

Everything fit into the small trolly. The tent I borrowed from my friend Nick!

In general I’m not a camping person as I’m a light sleeper, but this event I’ve done for the 2nd time. It’s so much fun.

A brilliant weekend with fitness blogger friends! Cheers and well done! We did it!

My legs felt very heavy during the runs and I wished I would have done a run earlier in the week. Lesson learned.

Happy RUNNING!
